10 of the Best New Songs to Listen to in December
"...technicolor pop songs filled with sunshine and funky beats"
Anyone for some upright electric sitar? The Bay Area-based psychedelic pop band Snow Angel is here to help. Frontwoman Gabby La La has teamed up with a group of badass babes to build technicolor pop songs filled with sunshine and funky beats for their self-titled album, which is out December 2. On "Fifteen," which we are premiering today, the band creates a dreamy world out of a simple sing-song rhythm and fuzzy harmonies reminiscent of '90s twee pop bands like The Pastels or The Softies. The video has bonus adorable sad clouds and angel aliens.
California-based Snow Angel are here to sprinkle their magic into the girl power fire with their latest single “Trampoline of Emotion”
"Celebrating the importance of friendship, and crucially, the complicated truth of being yourself, “Trampoline of Emotion” is an anthem for anyone who needs a reminder that they are powerful"

Video Premiere: Snow Angele's "So Sick So Cool”
"Gabby La La is a creative force in music. "
Gabby is a sitar virtuoso who also created her second album (“I Know You Know I Know”) using a Nintendo DS Lite overdubbed with ukulele and theremin. If that doesn’t immediately sell you on her eclectic brilliance, know that she’s collaborated with everyone from P-Funk to The Coup.
Now, Gabby La La is heading up a psych-pop band called Snow Angel, where she plays many, many instruments (recorder, keys, electric sitar). Their first 7” comes out tomorrow and Bitch is premiering their first music video, “So Sick So Cool.”
Gabby La La frequently appears on various newspapers, magazines, and blogs. Join her newsletter to know in which newspaper she appears next.
